Merchants

A classic Scottish restaurant located in the heart of the old town, offering quality food, fantastic value and great service. Merchants is only a stone’s throw away from historic Greyfriar’s Churchyard and the vibrant Grass market. Susie, the owner and restaurant manager personally welcomes groups and personally ensures everyone has a wonderful time. With a rustic décor, Merchants can host up to 100 pax.

Howies

Howies are 3 sister restaurants: two located in central Edinburgh and one in Aberdeen. Howies Waterloo is set in a beautiful Georgian building at the foot of Calton Hill just moments from the thriving hub of Princes Street. Howies Victoria lies in the heart of Edinburgh’s medieval Old Town, just a short walk from The Royal Mile and The Grass market. Each restaurant is unique with its own chef creating wonderful dishes from Scotland’s incredible natural larder: options include the traditional haggis, neeps & tatties with thyme jus and the exquisite Scottish casserole.

Ghillie Dhu

Particularly suited to larger groups, Ghillie Dhu is a much loved institution on the Edinburgh restaurant scene. Your group will be dining under the dramatic vaulted Georgian hall and listening to live music (every night in the bar area) and Ceilidhs (Friday and Saturday evening only). The menu features delicious traditional Scottish favourites made from renowned local ingredients, while your clients can enjoy a whisky tasting from the carefully crafted drinks menu.

Jamie’s Italian

Jamie Oliver, internationally recognised celebrity chef, has opened one of his Italian restaurants in the former supper halls of the Assembly Rooms on George Street, in Edinburgh's city centre. It is recognised as one of the most elegant of Jamie’s Italian chain, with grand ceilings, impressive cornicing and scarlet walls, teamed with red velvet chairs and chandeliers.

Gaucho

Gaucho, the celebrated Argentinian steak restaurant, recently opened a flagship restaurant and bar in Edinburgh. The new 120 cover luxury restaurant is based in Edinburgh’s prestigious St Andrew Square. At the centre of Gaucho’s menu is top quality beef, sourced from over 60 farms in Argentina. The grill, which is specially designed for Gaucho, replicates an Argentinian “asado”, a traditional family-style barbecue. Gaucho has also worked closely with local Scottish suppliers to help shape the menu for the new restaurant.

Otro

Otro is a restaurant based in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, serving classic brasserie-style cuisine prepared with fresh, seasonal, local produce. Fantastic food is matched with attentive service to create a superb dining experience. It has a spacious but intimate private dining room seating up to 42 guest which has multiple large windows making it a lovely bright and airy space in the daytime. NOTE: Otro will be closing for refurbishment early in October.

Hector’s

It's the ideal destination for a laidback dining experience after a day exploring the City.

Frankenstein

If your clients are looking for eating, drinking and entertainment, Frankenstein Pub is an experience unlike any other and the perfect venue for holding large groups, private hire events and functions up to 110 pax in the centre of the old town. It follows an Oktoberfest theme with long wooden tables, steins of premium beer and offers local tasty food: from the must try haggis fritters to a range of delicious saucy wings.

Mamma Roma

Located close to the Edinburgh Playhouse, Mamma Roma is a family run restaurant and was founded in 1996 by father & son. Decorated in an Italian farmhouse style with paintings and medallions embellishing the walls, this restaurant is fantastic for pre-theatre diners.

Wildwood

Contini

Contini is an award-winning restaurant that blends contemporary Italian cooking with well sourced Scottish ingredients and imported Italian specialities.

Set in an imposing converted banking hall on George Street, Contini George Street is loftily grand yet also very welcoming with soft, grey leather banquette in a very stylish setting. It could host up to 90 covers.

Contini Restaurant is in George Street in Edinburgh city centre. Waverley station is a ten-minute walk. City centre shopping, Princes Street Gardens and two of the capital’s national galleries are a five-minute walk
